Privacy Policy

How FlexCharting handles information when you use our website and charting services.

Who we are

FlexCharting LLC, based in Virginia, USA, operates FlexCharting. This policy describes information handled through our website, educator tools, and subscriber charting services. Contact support@flexcharting.com with privacy questions or requests.

An educator's website and independent educational services may have their own privacy policies. Payment and market-data services also have their own policies: Stripe Privacy Policy and QuoteMedia Privacy Policy. This policy covers FlexCharting's handling of information; it does not replace those providers' policies.

Information we handle

  • Account and contact information: information supplied when creating or managing an account, verifying an email address, contacting us, or setting up an educator organization, such as name, email address, organization, and account settings.
  • Subscription and billing information: selected offers, subscription status, payment and invoice references, and billing events. Stripe processes payment details through its payment interface; FlexCharting does not receive your full card number or card security code.
  • Charting and service information: saved charts, layouts, watchlists, preferences, and the product or market-data access associated with your account.
  • Market-data setup information: provider account references, entitlement and agreement status, and information needed to connect your account with the appropriate data service. Details entered into QuoteMedia's embedded registration and exchange forms are handled by QuoteMedia under its own terms and privacy practices.
  • Technical and security information: request and diagnostic logs, IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, authentication events, and information needed to investigate errors or misuse.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service, verify accounts, preserve chart settings, manage subscriptions, confirm payments and market-data access, respond to support requests, and investigate operational problems. We also use relevant records to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and licensing obligations.

When information is shared

Service providers process information needed to operate FlexCharting. These include Microsoft Azure for hosting and infrastructure, Stripe for payments and subscriptions, QuoteMedia for market data and entitlement setup, and email delivery providers for account and service messages.

If you subscribe through an educator, that educator's authorized administrators can access account, subscription, and access information relevant to their own organization. Information supplied directly to an educator is also subject to that educator's privacy practices.

We may disclose relevant information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the service and people's rights and security. A business reorganization or transfer may also involve relevant service records, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Cookies and browser storage

FlexCharting uses cookies for sign-in, session continuity, and protection against unauthorized form submissions. Charting features use browser storage to remember preferences, templates, and window layouts. Embedded payment and market-data services may use their own cookies or storage under their respective policies, including for purposes they describe separately. Browser settings can limit or remove stored information, but doing so can interrupt sign-in, saved preferences, or embedded services.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including maintaining your service, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, accounting, security, or market-data licensing obligations. Different records may have different retention needs. Account deletion may not immediately remove records that must be retained for those purposes or information held separately by a provider.

We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security. Do not send passwords, verification codes, API keys, or payment-card details to support.

FlexCharting is operated from the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate, subject to applicable requirements.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. Email support@flexcharting.com to make a request or ask about an available privacy choice. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and legal exceptions may apply. Do not include identity documents unless we have arranged a secure way to provide them.

If we decline your request, you can ask us to review the decision by emailing support with the subject "Privacy appeal" and explaining the request. We will review and respond as required by applicable law, including information about any further options that apply.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support so we can review the concern and take appropriate action under applicable law.

Requests about information an educator, Stripe, or QuoteMedia holds independently may also need to be directed to that organization. Their retention periods and processing locations may differ from ours. Contact us if you need help identifying the appropriate recipient.

Policy updates

We will update this page when our privacy practices change and revise the date above. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, we will provide it.
